BATHURST, NSW, Central West, Australia - A man who has been disqualified from holding a driver's license for the next ninety-two years will appear in court on Monday after being caught driving a sedan.
The man, aged 73, was not eligible to hold a driver's license until the year 2117, which if he lived that long, he would be 165 years old.
He was nabbed on Sunday, driving in the New South Wales Central West city of Bathurst.
The man was pulled over around 9:15am Sunday morning for a random breath test. He was driving a silver Subaru sedan. The breath test returned a negative result. However on checking his driving record, officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command established the 92-year disqualification.
The man was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged. He was refused bail and scheduled to appear before Bathurst Local Court on Monday.
As Sunday's driving offence was the man's third in 5 years, his car was confiscated.
