World No. 1 Jannik Sinner's quest to complete a career Grand Slam at Roland Garros will begin against French wild-card entry Clement Tabur.
The draw was announced on Thursday for the French Open, the clay-court major that begins on Sunday in Paris and runs through June 7.
Sinner, 24, won the Australian Open and U.S. Open in 2024 and added a second Australian Open and a Wimbledon title in 2025. The Italian is trying to become just the seventh man in the Open Era to win all four Grand Slams.
No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev begins his bid for his first Grand Slam title against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi. Zverev has lost in the finals at the U.S. Open (2020), French Open (2024) and Australian Open (2025).
Three-time French Open champion and No. 3 seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia is in the other half of the draw and will begin his bid for a 25th major trophy against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard of France.
Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime is seeded fourth and will open against Germany's Daniel Altmaier.
Two-time defending Roland Garros champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain will miss the tournament due to a wrist injury that also will keep him out of Wimbledon this summer. Alcaraz defeated Sinner in a five-set thriller in last year's final at the French Open.
Arthur Fils is the highest-seeded French hopeful at No. 19 and will open against Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka, who is competing in his final season on the ATP Tour. Wawrinka won the French Open in 2015.
Frenchman Gael Monfils, who is also retiring after this season, will meet compatriot Hugo Gaston in the first round.
No. 5 Ben Shelton is the highest-seeded American and will take on Spain's Daniel Merida in his opening match.
